River’s End and the coast are favorites
I found another new use for an old favorite recently.
River’s End Restuarant has always been a favorite, you cant beat its location. Its one of those places that can exist only in one spot, and its been there forever. Its a one of a kind. Two sides of it are redwood, and the other sides are glass. The view is dazzling. Its a remarkable birds eye view of the confluence of the Russian River, and Pacific Ocean. The view is wide enough to give you a view up river, and the breath of the lagune.

I am always delighted to eat at River’s End. They dont always remember who you are, but you always remember their food. The best I can suggest is “pan asian” crossed with comfort food. My lunch was pure bliss.
The biggest change was the weather. It was a rainy, stormy kind of afternoon, not the usual clear day you would choose for a sunset. But the weather changed that staggering view of the Pacific, and added much more drama. It’s a quick drive down to Jenner from Elements, and there we were watching the storm tossed Pacific from the banks of the Russian River. All that visual combined with incredible food made for an ideal getaway. We had only that mesmerizing view, and stunning food. The coast turned out to be a terrific spot in the rain.
